About Us

 Walk-in Self Storage is located on Broad Lane/ Rochdale Road border between Shaw and Rochdale. You will find Burnedge Mill is at the heart of the village with easy access from the M62 Motorway, located just above The Fair View Inn.

Indoor self-storage units have been installed in Unit 3

This is an easily accessed ground floor unit and is protected by a fully automated access and alarm system

On choosing your unit you also choose a four-digit code, which will give you access to the site and your chosen unit.

The site is not 24 hours

The hours of opening are

8.30 – 5.00pm Monday – Friday

9.00 – 6.00pm Saturday

9.00 – 4.00pm Sunday

Arrangements can be made by prior appointment for access outside of these hours if necessary.

We have installed the Kuboid system of storage units

The units are protected by CCTV and each unit is alarmed individually.

No security deposit or notice to vacate is required.

Trolleys are provided on site for use

Storage unit cleaning tips

Keeping your unit clean has a lot of advantages. It stops your possessions being damaged by dust.

Dust also becomes a breeding ground for insects. It also helps keep you safe, and makes it a much easier task to take things in and out of the unit (without getting covered in dust).

it’s worth keeping a small caddy of cleaning supplies in your unit. This doesn’t have to be anything major – a few dusters, a pack of wet wipes, antibacterial surface spray, cloths and a dustpan and brush should cover everything you need. If you have your supplies with you in the unit, you are more likely to keep it clean. You’re also more likely to ‘spot clean’ each time you visit, so you’ll never need to do a ‘deep clean’ until you move out.

Storage

Try to store your items in boxes (plastic ones are great for keeping things dry and safe from dust).

It works best if you can  keep them elevated off the floor.

Rotate the contents:

It helps to sometimes rotate the contents of your locker.  You may find items you no longer require and can dispose of. This means you are not paying for storage space you no longer need
